Sunday is such a cool day, the traffic is nil and there are just enough stores open in case you need something,,,, but most people get the day off. I used to work in those jobs that I had to work on holidays and weekends and I'm so glad I don't have to anymore.

Good Morning!

I'm wide awake and feeling great!

Only 17 days till I see my daughter and the rest of the family! Woo Hoo! I'm ready to start packing right NOW!

We finalized the focus group details yesterday and I'm really starting to get excited about it. Working with Victor is AWESOME! He's the MAN!

We had our site visit yesterday by the WBEA (Womans Business Enterprise Association) for recertification and I think it went well. It was the same lady that came out 2 years ago and she said she couldn't believe how much we had grown in 2 years. My goodness we had a home office 2 years ago....can you believe it?

Well I'm going to a class from 10:00-2:00 today for the start of my production carreer.... wish me luck. I can't believe me of all people is going to be producing videos.....things change so fast here in Houston..... LOL

You may be familiar with Dr. Masura Emotos' work with water crystals, and the effect thoughts and words have on their appearance.

While relishing his awe-inspiring book, "The Hidden Messages in Water," Stacy came upon an idea that will forever change her life, and perhaps yours, as well.........

Emoto believes that Gratitude is a gift of Love . . . it is what Love returns to the world, as a symbol of appreciation for life, for being, for NOW. Emoto also feels that the "Love and Gratitude" water crystal is the most beautiful of all, for it exemplifies our highest nature, as Divine Creators.

If you want to come along with Stacy and the 42 day gratitude experiment.......

Imagination: The Most Powerful Force
Even if you skim this article PLEASE scroll down to the section that I bolded

Albert Einstein said that imagination is the greatest creative force. Why would such a great man say something that sounds so silly and trivial? Look at those words again: 'greatest creative force'. Imagination? Not education? Nor money? Nor luck?

Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, said that imagination is the most marvelous, miraculous, inconceivably powerful force the world has ever known. Before you pass him away as a crackpot, know that Mr. Hill was an advisor to two U.S. presidents, was commissioned by the great and wealthy Andrew Carnegie to teach people about making their dreams come true, and has been thanked by many of the greatest people around the world for the success he helped them achieve. People like F. W. Woolworth (founder of Woolworth's), Woodrow Wilson (former U.S.President), George Eastman (founder of Kodak), W. M. Wrigley, JR. (Wrigley's), and many others have used his teachings to manifest their dreams.

Imagination is the force that takes you to places you have never been.

Henry Ford relied on imagination and belief. Walt Disney said that had he not seen Disneyland in his mind, the rest of the world would not have seen it on earth. Bill Gates first imagines his products before they become actual software that we rely on. And it would serve you well to remember that many of the world's greatest people started with nothing and built empires. They had a dream. And the universe conspired, as it always does, to let them experience their imagination. The universe always lets you experience your imagination, whatever it may be.

The Bible says 'As a man thinketh, so shall he become'. It also says 'Without vision we perish'.

Your mind's images are literally the blueprint from which your world is built.

Your mind is infinite. What are your limits? What are limits, except those that you say are so? Why else would two different people have different 'limits'?

Life is images of the mind, expressed. What this means is that Life, The Source, uses your thoughts, your mental images, as the instructions by which to create your reality in the material world. Life expresses your mental images into physical reality. To express is to make known, to state, articulate, communicate, convey. The force of Life makes known your thoughts to yourself and everyone else by forming them into experiences and objects that can be experienced, here in the physical world. You experience your own thoughts first hand, your images of your mind, so that you may know which ones are suitable and which ones are not. That is how you know yourself, that is how you experience your self, and that is how you grow. This is the supreme purpose of this physical world that we are now in. It is designed to enable you to experience your Self. It is designed to enable you to experience an idea and its effects and consequences.

Life does not select which ones of your images to express and which ones not to. How would it choose for you? It therefore expresses all of them to the extent that you have them and believe them. You have true free will. This free will is truly free because of the fact that all of it is acted upon without filtering or favoring. Free will is truly free because of the fact that it actually gets results all the time, not just some of the time, and it gets them exactly.

Your ideas, visions and dreams, whatever they may be, are the prophecies of what you shall one day become and achieve. You can predict your outer life tomorrow by looking at your inner self today. You can change your tomorrow by changing your inner self today.

As you think, there do you find yourself. You attract the people that have something to teach you in line with your thoughts, people who have something to learn from you in line with your thoughts, and you repel those who have nothing more to learn from you and give you in line with your thoughts. The same goes for places and conditions, situations and environments.

Many things influence your imagination - past fears, desires, poor mental training, lack of awareness, sub-personalities, lack of goals - any much more. But anything that influences your imagination is under your control. You can stop it simply by becoming aware of it and releasing it. And this is where awareness, consciousness, comes in as the key to clearing your mind of the debris that brings suffering to you and sabotages your success.

Wednesday night was our best Quantum Physics study group so far.
We are changing the name of it (not my idea) we have a core group of about 5 people. 3 of the 5 have voted for the name change. The reason they want to change it they say, is they are afraid most people don't have a clue what those words mean. I disagree
Please tell me what you are thinking ....

Last night was my 3rd B2B networking meeting and it was a real success. We finally got the proof of all of our listings. It looks GREAT, I will post a picture of it when we get the final copy!

All the people that showed up were true and kind and the positive vibes in the room were very noticeable. Even the wait staff was sucked into the joyful feelings in our room. Can you imagine a room full of business owners that actually get along, like each other and really want to help build each others businesses? It's truly a miracle!!!!

TOP 5 SMART ASS ANSWERS FOR 2005 ..ACCORDING TO READER'S DIGEST:

SMART ASS ANSWER #5:

tickets. As a man approached, she extended her hand for the ticket, instead
he opened his trench coat and flashed her. Without missing a
beat....she said, "Sir, I need to see your ticket not your stub."

SMART ASS ANSWER #4:
A lady was shopping for a turkey at the grocery store, but she couldn't
find one big enough for her family. She asked a stock boy, "Do these

rolled down his window. "I've been waiting for you all day," the cop

cop finally stopped laughing, he sent the kid on his way without a
ticket.

SMART ASS ANSWER #2:
A truck driver was driving along on the freeway. A sign comes up
that reads, "low bridge ahead." before he knows it, the bridge is right
ahead of him and he gets stuck under the bridge. Cars are backed up for
miles. Finally, a police car comes up. The cop gets out of his car and
walks up to the truck driver, puts his hands on his hips and says, "Got
stuck, huh? The truck driver says, "No, I was delivering this bridge and ran
out of gas."
And now for the best one..

Free foliage!

Have you wondered what happens to the plants nurseries don't sell? I was surprised to learn that they're destroyed. What a waste!

Well, Free Trees and Plants "rescues" unsold plants. Then they're offered to you for free -- you only pay postage and handling.

The company employs disabled workers to prepare the plants for shipping. So you're helping people who sometimes have difficulties finding employment.

There's a wide selection available, so you might have a hard time choosing what you want. The selection varies depending on what's available, so be sure to check back.

Also, keep in mind that the plants are dormant. This basically means that they're hibernating. So they will look a bit sparse until they're planted and become active again.

I saw the movie The Muse last night. It was required for a class I'm taking. I couldn't believe a movie with Sharon Stone in it could have slipped by me but now that I've seen it I understand. I think it was the male star...he was just so blah....

Any one have any comments on the movie, if you saw it that is..... :) I understand why they want us to see it, the message is VERY clear. We don't need a Muse....... because we have it in us all along :)

» and you thought I couldn't cook......
Here is a Turkey recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a stuffing.

Imagine that ! When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. Give this a try.

BAKED STUFFED TURKEY

10-13 lb. Turkey
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is good.)
1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHERS LOW FAT)

Salt/pepper to taste.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush Turkey well with melted butter, salt, and pepper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with the neck end toward the back of the oven. Listen for the popping sounds.

When the Turkey's ass blows the oven door open and the Turkey flies across the room, it is done.

And you thought I couldn't cook.

Google a good book

Google always has something up its sleeve. It seems like the company introduces a new service every week, doesn't it?

This week, the folks over at Google are launching Google Print. You've probably already heard of this service. This is the controversial book-scanning project that's been in the news lately.

The site works like Google's standard Web search. Just enter your search term and you're presented with a list of results. What separates it from other searches is that it only searches books.

You can read parts from the books and even save the scanned pages. The project isn't complete, but there's still a lot to search.

And in case you're wondering, Google Print sidestepped the controversy over copyrighted works. Currently, only books in the public domain are included, unless the publisher has agreed to their inclusion.

Voicemail cheats

What's your least favorite thing about technology? You might dislike the price of some computer equipment. Or maybe it’s the bugs that get you down.

Those are both valid complaints. But I dislike telephone systems the most. You know what I'm talking about the labyrinthine menus you get when you call big companies.

If only there were cheats, like there are for video games. Oh, wait, there are! Just visit Find-A-Human. It lists codes for bypassing menus and finding a person at a number of large companies.

Next time you need to call the cable company or an airline, check Find-A-Human first. I used this just the other day when I spotted a problem on my telephone bill. It saved me a lot of time and frustration.

The list isn't complete, but it's growing. You can add cheat codes to the database, if you know of any. I'm sure other visitors, including me, will appreciate it.

Many people use the same password over and over. It's easier to remember than a bunch of different ones

Sex! In! Spaaaace!
Posted by Alan Bellows on October 23rd, 2005 at 1:24 pm

With the manned mission to Mars planned in the coming years, NASA has been devoting much attention to many of the nuances of long-term space travel. But some are concerned that NASA has not spent enough energy exploring one important area which has the potential to greatly impact a crew’s physical and psychological health: Sex.

When a mixed-gender crew is sealed into a tiny metal-and-plastic capsule for months on end, some sexual interaction is inevitable. The crew members are, after all, human. Researchers are now urging NASA to become as informed as possible on the specifics of space sex on such a long, close-quarters mission.

Do you ever watch Joel Osteen?

I think he's wonderful. Now don't get me wrong.....I'm not talking about his religious views but the messages he gives. The way he smiles and the way he brings people together. He has a kind, gentle spirit. I know he has taken NLP because I hear him saying the same things I'm learning in class.

If you just take the religious portion out of his message he would reach EVERYONE.

» My newsletter
I write a weekly e-newsletter called Ask The Networker for business owners and key staff in and around the Houston area. This weeks question from a subscriber was a really good one so I thought I would share it with you. You can see it on the website in full color tomorrow morning on http://www.askthenetworker.com

Ask The Networker
by Marian LaSalle

Here's your chance to ask your networking questions

This weeks question is:
I've heard you talk about partnering with other companies to work on larger projects. Can you explain it briefly so I know what I should look for as well as look out for?

Answer:

I LOVE partnering! This is a perfect example of the best that networking has to offer. I have been partnering from the first year we were in business.

1st The warning:

It's not always wonderful so, I must caution you to get to know the person/people/company that you will be partnering with very well BEFORE you seal the deal or risk your clients/customers or your good name. I almost lost 2 clients because of one very pushy, know it all novice who pretended to be an experienced business person. It's a good thing I didn't give up on partnering because the next partnership I started was a match made in business heaven. .

Now, for what you should look for:

A company that has been in business for 2 or more years with 2 or more employees is preferred however, with the right person you can have a successful partnership with a sole proprietor. The most important thing to establish with a one man band is that they have a replacement in case they get sick or need to leave town in case of an emergency. I would look for integrity, honesty, experience, and most of all accountability. Get references (3 or more) and last, but certainly not least, have a clear idea of what your roles will be. If you take the time to talk about an exit strategy and the details most people don't want to talk about BEFORE anything goes wrong you will save yourself legal hassles and possibly a lifelong friendship.

As you can tell I’ve had some wonderful partnerships that have helped both companies soar higher than they ever could alone! If you have any success stories, I would LOVE it if you would send them to me. Let me hear your stories, good and bad.

My tuesday early morning (7am) class was canceled because only me and the teacher are in Houston. The rest of them are still hiding out of town. I think most everyone is either on the way back or leaving to come back today.

I had 2 friends call me yesterday to find out if the traffic was still backed up. I think for the most part we are clear so I will call them this morning to give them the go ahead to come home. One of them went all the way to Oklahoma to try to get out of Ritas path.

It's so hot here still that, most of the clean up is going to have to wait. We are having record heat & humidity... ugghh
» Developing the success habit
~(change the word TV into computer and you have Me)~

Developing the Success Habit

Much has been written about what it takes to be successful. No one has said it better than Maxwell Maltz in his acclaimed book Psycho-Cybernetics.
He believes that is Success is a habit. He is a proponent of the idea that self image and habits go hand in hand.—changing the self image changes our habits.
Think about it, the visual we all get of the (couch potato) is one of a somewhat overweight individual, watching TV for hours on end, eating bonbons. One could argue that they have developed the habits conducive with their self image.
The word habit originally referred to clothing. According to Maltz we have habits because “they fit us.” A very large portion of the habits we have are merely reactions that we have learned over time and continue to use when confronted with similar situations. Often these habits hinder our ability to be successful.
Conscious attention to creating new habits can break us of old habits that are not serving us well. According to Maltz, you must concentrate on creating new habits that foster the following:

S-ense of direction
U-nderstanding
C-ourage
C-harity
E-steem
S-elf-Confidence
S-elf Acceptance

Integrate these into your personality and you will find that you are far more successful.

~Trying to keep my mind off of it!~

Many of the people I have spoken to recently have talked about wanting to get rid of some of the stuff cluttering their lives. By that I mean the physical things--clothes, books, furniture, knickknacks and more--that fill up our space and complicate our lives.

If you have ever spent hours searching for something that was hidden among the many "treasures" you have collected over the years, you know how things become a time and energy drain.

You may think that you do not have the time to get organized and clear away the things you do not need. In fact, you do not have the time not to. Make it simple. I keep a donation box in one room of the house. Every time we run across something that we no longer need (but is too good to throw away) we toss it into the box. Every few weeks, we give what we have accumulated to a local charity. This way, we are clearing out closets and drawers in between major organizing days.

How many things are you holding onto? Let go of the clothes that no longer fit your body or your life, the books you will never read again, the kitchen gadget you just had to have (but have never used), the broken table you keep meaning to fix, etc.

Freeing the clutter from your home and office can also free the clutter from your mind. You will find yourself feeling open to new ideas and opportunities, and ready to take on new challenges.

The same principle works for organizing. Start with at least one 15-minute project today. You will be amazed at the results.
Cut for your sanity :) )

Today's Cool Site...
E-mail, to go.

Checking your e-mail can be tough when you're traveling. But mail2web makes things a little easier.

Enter your e-mail address and password, and you have instant access to your account. It's particularly handy for work accounts that don't offer access via the Web.

You don't need to register to check your e-mail. But registration does have its benefits. You can create your own personal page. It stores favorite links, e-mail addresses and account names (but no passwords).

But maybe you prefer instant messaging to e-mail. Well, web2mail does that, too! It's compatible with many different services.

Just remember to guard your passwords carefully if you're using a public computer.

Public records are, well, open to the public. But now, Web sites are making your information easier to access than ever before.
